BRUNO CARL SCHIMNOWSKI Peacefully, on April 19, 2009 Bruno passed away at the Misericordia Place Personal Care Home at the age of 86. He was predeceased by his wife Annette, mother and father, brother Ted, sister Jean and sons Wayne and Jude. Bruno was born and raised in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. He worked as a young man locally hauling wood, water and ashes. His favourite job was playing the piano for silent movies at the local theater. He moved to Winnipeg in the early 1940s. He worked as a bicycle courier for Princess Messenger, and for many years as an Automotive Spraypaint Specialist . He married Annette Lamothe on June 11, 1949. Together they raised a family of 14 children. He enjoyed playing the piano, and baseball. His faith and family were very important to him and he worked very hard all his life. He retired at the age 69. He will be greatly missed by his children and their families, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Misericordia Place Personal Care Home for their gentle care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Misericordia Place Personal Care Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with interment and reception to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
