Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEXANDER RICHARD SHANNON Alex passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre on Monday, April 27, 2009 with his wife and longtime friend Lorne by his side. He is survived by his wife Jackie (nee Boucher), sons Sandy, Jamie (J.J) daughter Christine Gunn (Melissa) (Samantha) and sister Suzy Caci. He was predeceased by his son Darcy and brother Brian. Alex spent many years in the lumber industry where he made many friends. The fly fisherman at large have lost an enthusiastic and talented fly fisherman and fly tyer. Alas the cat fish in the Red River can rest easy. An Irish Wake to celebrate Alex's life will be held Wednesday evening, April 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the reception area of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler @ Henderson Hwy. Special thanks to Dr. Janice and the staff at Riverview Health Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Manitoba Lung Association would be appreciated.

I was very saddened to hear about Alex. Although, we had not been in touch for a few years, he always had a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers to all of his family.
