SAMUEL GRANDE October 6, 1922 May 3, 2009 Peacefully on Sunday, May 3, 2009 with his family at his side, Sam passed away at the age of 86. Left to mourn are his three daughters, Jeanette, Cindy and Donna; two sisters, Rose Weselake and Jeanette Johannesson and one brother Tom Grande, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Sam Grande, wife Mary, brothers, Joe Grande, Frank Grande and sister Lena Lavitt. In his younger years, Sam developed many skills that were necessary for making a living. Among which were brick layer, stucco and roofer and cooking for the soup kitchen. His latest years were with Nutty Club before retiring. Two of his life's passions were fishing and hunting. Sam had a good sense of humor and was always there with helping hands in any situation. His door, like his heart was always open to all. He made a difference in the lives of the people he knew and his memory will live on. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Riverview Health Centre 3E for their care towards Sam. At Sam's request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
