BHAJAN KAUR HUNJAN It is with great regret we inform all family and friends that our beloved Bhajan Kaur Hunjan, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2009 at Concordia Hospital, at the age of 79. Bhajan Kaur was born in Khanna Punjab India on July 15, 1930. She married Hardyal Singh Hunjan and later immigrated to Winnipeg in December 1982. A loving mother and grandmother, she was blessed with nine children, Gurjeet Kaur (Baljit Singh Birdi), (Late) Surinder Singh (Balwinder Kaur Hunjan), Baldev Singh Hunjan, Darshan Kaur (Daljit Singh), Sukhvir Kaur (Raghbir Singh), Gurminder Singh (Ranjana Kaur Hunjan), Maninder Kaur (Baljinder Singh Bhumber), Amarjit Singh (Nirmal Kaur Hunjan), and Paramjit Kaur (Paramjit Singh Kalsi). She was further blessed with 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She can be described as an individual who worked hard to take care of her family and brought comfort to those around her by inscribing her values and beliefs in them Throughout her life, she endured many hardships. She struggled with constant heart and lung problems. Despite her struggles, she always kept a positive attitude by remembering Waheguru and making the best of any situation. She will always hold a special place within all of our hearts, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30 at 2:00 p.m at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard followed by prayers at Khalsa Diwan Society, 807 McLeod Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association of Manitoba. The family would like to thank Dr. I. Mohammad, Dr. Sharma, Val Rasmeay and the staff at Concordia Hospital.
