TONI LEIPSIC Peacefully, on June 4, 2009, Toni passed away. Kathryn Rush (Toni) was named for her maternal grandmother Katherine Elliott and Lieutenant Christopher Rush, a family friend who was killed in action before Toni's birth. Toni was predeceased by her parents Sylvan and Aileen Leipsic. She is survived by her brothers Stevan (Lori), Michael (Helene) and her nieces and nephews Lindsey, Dusty, Tracy (Richard) and Greg (Kathleen); as well as many cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. In accordance with Toni's wishes, cremation has taken place and her ashes will be spread to the wind and water at Zig Zag Island, Clear Water Bay, Ontario. Donations in her memory may be made to The Friends of Canadian Museum for Human Rights or the Rainbow Society. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Toni's life at the Assiniboine Park Conservatory on June 18, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Toni's generosity of spirit will be missed.

All of the Yoga Vallarta community is heartbroken at the loss of our friend and fellow traveler. Toni was a chattering, cheerful gift to every class and her selfless volunteer spirit was an example to us all. The passion Toni showed for other people's talents and happiness was remarkable. She showed up and applauded loudly -- and took a lot of photos! We will miss Toni for her generous spirit, her willingness to try anything, her patience with her yoga practice, and her deep throaty laugh. We love you, Toni.
