Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDMYTRO HOLOWATY Peacefully, on June 19, 2009 at the Park Manor Personal Care Home, our beloved father and grandfather, Dmytro Holowaty, passed away with his family by his side. Dmytro leaves to mourn his devoted daughter Stephania (Peter) Lapka and grandchildren, Bohdan Lapka, Michael Lapka, Lily MacWilliams. He was predeceased by his wife Katerina (2006), brothers, Peter and Yvonne and sisters, Eve, Katherine Martiniuk and Anastasia Kotlar. Dmytro was born October 1, 1911 in Nove Selo, Ryon Lubatchiv, Oblast Lviv (Ukraine). He immigrated to Winnipeg in 1947 and was finally joined by his wife Katerina in 1967 where together they made their lifelong home in Transcona. Dmytro was a loving father and grandfather, who will be sadly missed. Panakhyda will be offered on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 7 p.m. at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1500 Day Street. Divine Liturgy to follow on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with Father Bill Wasyliw presiding. Interment at Transcona Cemetery.
