LORAINE KAY FEDORIW 1944 - 2009 Sadly and with deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Loraine; partner, sister and aunt on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at her residence in Winnipeg, at the age of 64 years. Remaining to forever cherish Loraine's memory are her life partner of 25 years Ryan Anhalt; his sons Ryan Jr. and Stephen and their families; sister Joan Gregg (Leo); nephew Bill Gregg (Caroline); niece Karen Bernier (Mark) as well as great-nephews Austin, Alec, Tristan and Charlie. She was predeceased by her father William in 1961 and mother Martha (Bomek) in 1967. Loraine's love of horses began early on when she was a teenager, and lasted all her life. She began working at the Assiniboia Downs as a groom, then as a trainer, and then owning her own horse and just loving life and all that it had to offer. Over the years she tried working in other fields of work, but always returned to the track and was employed there at the time of her death. Loraine was also an avid golfer, loved her T.V. sports, old movies and rock and roll music. She loved and was loved in return by her family and friends. Her free spirit will be missed and forever remembered. Loraine's Funeral Service was held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue at Sharp Blvd. You're a winner sis, meet you at the winners circle!
