Remaining to forever cherish Myrna's memory is her husband of 52 years Ben; five children, Michael, Wanda (Greg), Angela (Pierre), Jeff (Blair) and Roxanne (Jim), 10 grandchildren; Leslie (Eric), Jacinda, Scarlett (Jeff), Jade, Violett, Bernadette, Johnathon, Janita, Matthew and Mark and four great-grandchildren, Shawn, Chloe, Jarome, Caden, and many extended family Myrna is predeceased by her parents Noble and Agnes Holmberg, sister Carol, brother Eldred and her son Rodney in 1953. Myrna was born on April 12, 1934 in Stockholm, SK. She spent her early years in Minnedosa, MB. Later moved to Winnipeg where she met her husband while working at The Royal Alexandra Hotel. Myrna and Ben were married on September 29, 1956 at Smollund Church 6 miles south of Minnedosa and started their family in Winnipeg. Myrna always loved going on holidays. Every summer during the 1970's and 1980's, in a camper, custom-made by Ben, the family would travel around western Canada and the U.S. Precious memories were created that are still with us today. Most of the grandchildren will remember Grandma doing her crafts, it was one of her greatest pleasures. Myrna's caring and soft heartedness were like no other. She will remain in our lives and hearts forever, and we will always remember the lessons she taught us. The family would like to thank all the nurses at the Deer Lodge Centre 6th Floor who helped with her care during her last days. A Celebration of Life for Myrna will be held on July 3, 2009 at the Church of the Open Door 137 Euclid Ave. Viewing 2:00 p.m. and service 3:00 p.m. Cremation and burial for immediate family to follow at a later date. We miss you so much; sleep in peace with the Lord, one day we will hold hands and embrace again. If our love could have kept you here, you would still be with us. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of The Open Door, 137 Euclid Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2W 2W8. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
