MARIA JOSE FERREIRA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, at the age of 84 years. She passed away at her residence on July 20, 2009. Maria was born March 19, 1925 in Salga, Acores and immigrated to Canada in 1969. Maria was predeceased by her parents, siblings, husbands Jose and Antonio; sons Carlos and Alfredo. Maria will be sadly missed by her children Tony and Natalia (Antonio), sister-in-law Kathy and daughter-in-law Patricia; grandchildren, Ana (James), Carlos, Lisa (Chris), Melissa, Katerina and Kaitlin; great-grandchild Kaitlin; nephews Joe, Michael and Jerry; nieces Maria Filomena, Rosa Maria and many other relatives in the States and Brazil. Maria was a loving, kind and hard-working woman who will be deeply missed by all. Prayers will be held on Thursday (tonight), July 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 24 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P. H. officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
