CELIA HORNSTEIN July 30, 1926 July 25, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Celia Hornstein. Celia passed away peacefully at 10:40 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Hospital after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer that she just couldn't win. Celia was predeceased by her loving husband Harold, and brothers Charlie and Jo. Celia will be lovingly remembered by her children Anita and Jeffrey, their spouses Holly and Israel, her beloved grandchildren, Alexis, Hannah, and Zennen, her brother Max Chisick, and special friend Barry Myers. She will be sadly missed by Mark and Haderra Chisick, Denny and Mel Hornstein, Sylvia Lomow, Phyllis Yaffe, and all of Celia's nieces, nephews and cousins, their children, and everyone else who came to know her as Auntie Celia . Celia was a very special person who touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered by all who new her. She truly was an inspiration to us all. Funeral services will take place at the Congregation Etz Chayim Synagogue on Tuesday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m. This will be followed by burial at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park. The family will be sitting Shiva for three days ending the evening of Thursday, July 30, at Celia's home. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
