MARION FREAD It is with great sadness that on August 2, 2009 Mrs. Marion Fread passed away at the age of 79 years. Marion was born on May 18, 1930 in Winnipeg and began a life on Selkirk Avenue. She moved to Toronto for a brief period and back to Winnipeg. Marion is survived by her son Hartley Fread and daughter Tammy Prokop (Stan Prokop), her grandchildren Jayden and Kaylee and many other relatives and friends who will miss her very much. She was a loving mother who wanted nothing but the best for her children and gave up alot in life to take care of her children. She was an avid walker and whenever she had the chance she would be walking every where. Her favorite walk was in Kildonan Park. She also loved to knit. She knitted for Leona's Woolshop. She always wanted to keep herself busy with knitting and walking. There will be a graveside funeral service on August 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marion's name may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 1-452 Dovercourt, 989-0800.
