JERRY LOMENDA Peacefully, on August 9, 2009 in Tache Centre. Jerry was predeceased by brother Albert. Jerry is survived by sister Agnes, wife Rose, children Bryan (Barb), Mel (Kym), Joyce (Colin), Eileen; grandchildren Danny, Tim, Laura. Born April 15, 1913 in Esterhazy, SK, he began his working career as a teacher in a one room schoolhouse. A self taught musician, he played violin in several bands and maintained a lifelong love of music. In Winnipeg he worked for the Department of Transport Aeradio Branch for 35 years. On retiring he was involved in many volunteer projects including managing Holy Cross Manor. Jerry enjoyed curling and square dancing and was an avid handyman. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. also at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
