CASS JANIS February 16, 1932 to August 13, 2009 Cass died peacefully in his sleep at home on August 13, 2009. Left to survive his memory are his wife of 58 years Carol, sons, Randy (Lori), Wayne, and sister Adele (Terry). In keeping with his wishes no service will be held. Cremation has taken place. If friends so desire, a donation may be made in his honour to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Cass and I worked together on the Wpg. Police Dept. during the late 1950s into the 1960s. I can't say enough of the man, true friend, and comrade. I loved the guy. Cass had a temendous sense of humour and a great sense of right and wrong. He was always for the little guy, and their cause. Cass was truly "One of a kind" and my thoughts today are of him,and I extend my thoughts and wishes to his wife Carol who was always behind Cass.
