NORMAN GEOFFREY FRANCIS November 8, 1941 - August 20, 2009 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our Dad, Norman, on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the age of 67 years. Remaining to forever cherish Norman's memories are his wife of 29 years Tessie, his children Vangie and Roger (Mercy), his grandchildren Roger Jr., Mae and Albert, his mother Dorothy, his brother Ken (Donna) and a sister Darlene; his brothers-in-law Sydney (Lulu) and Fely (Digna), sister-in-law Viring (Jamie) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his dad Norman Jack Francis. Norman worked at the YWCA as a Power Engineer for many years. After retiring, he spent most of his free time at his dream cottage, where he loved being outdoors. When he wasn't at the cottage, he was helping his wife with their tinapa and cooking business. He always found time to play with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Thank you to the Emergency Staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the Paramedics that gave Norman such good care. Also thanks to our friends and family that have shown such kindness at this time. Lamay will commence at 6:00 p.m. and Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009 from Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
