PASCHE November 22, 1922 September 13, 2009 We deeply mourn the passing of our dear mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother Lydia Pasche on September 13, 2009 at Grace Hospital. Lydia will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Gisela Maretzki and husband Walter; son Johannes Pasche; her sister Gertrud Gutknecht; grandchildren, Thomas (Penney), Heidi, Jennifer (Dave), Jeffrey, Tiffany and Melanie. Also bringing her much joy were her five great-grandchildren, Lydia, Isabella, Amelia, Gavin and Ian. She was predeceased by her husband Theophilus ('93); two children, Wilfred and Gisela, her parents and two brothers, Alfred and Richard. She emigrated from Germany to Winnipeg in 1953. She worked many years in the bakery industry. She was a wonderful mother, Oma and great-grandmother. She took great joy in her children and grandchildren. She loved her annual trip with her sister to Hawaii, as well as many other destinations around the globe. It gave her great pleasure to entertain her family and friends with her phenomenal cooking and tortes. She loved Jesus, her church and passed on a legacy of faith to her family. She embodied a prayer warrior' and her prayers will be missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital for their excellent care during this difficult time. Memorial service will be held Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Ave., with interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home of the Good Shepherd Ministries, P.O. Box 34127, RPO Fort Richmond, Winnipeg, MB R3T 5T5. We love you Oma and will miss you, Auf Wiedersehen and Aloha!
