LYLE (ROCKY) NORMAN ROCKWELL January 9, 1945 September 15, 2009 Passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Nancy, who was the love of his life, his son Jeff and daughter Leanne (Josh Petrie). He is also survived by grandchildren Rahkeem, Hakeem and Emma, and his mother (Mary). Lyle was predeceased by his father, and by his brother and best friend, Dale. After a very rewarding 26 year career in the RCMP and a second career with Canada Revenue Agency, Lyle and Nancy retired in the Okanagan. He spent many happy days in his garden and soon became known as Tractor Man in the neighbourhood. Thank you to Central Okanagan Hospice House for providing a wonderful environment that allowed family and friends to have a final week filled with moments of laughter, sharing of stories, tears, warmth and family bonding. The family wishes to offer a very special thanks to Dr. Larry Bobyn for his thoughtful and devoted care every step of the way. We would also like to acknowledge home care nurse, June Halter, who became more like a friend over the past two years. No service or memorial by request. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Lyle's memory can be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, the Cancer Centre for the Southern Interior or the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation.
