Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVITO ROCCO PETRUZZELLI Peacefully with his family at his side on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the age of 66, Vito Rocco Petruzzelli, our husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend passed away. Vito is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vincenza; his four children, Angela (Tony), Anna (Cosmo), Maria (Jamie) and Mike (Patricia); his grandchildren, Santino, Rico, Fabio, Tina, Juliano, Francesco, Maria, Marisa, Selina, Julia and Adrianna; his mother Angela; and three sisters, Maria, Tonya and Bina, as well as many nieces and nephews in Italy. He was predeceased by his father Vitangelo and oldest son Vitangelo (1995). Dad was born in Modugno, Italy where he met and married our dear mother. They moved to Canada in 1971. He worked as a tradesperson at various shops. He loved to play cards and backgammon, he enjoyed his food and espresso, and loved to watch television - especially his wrestling and old westerns. His pastime was doing crosswords. He enjoyed fishing, camping, having picnics and going to the beach. Dad loved being in the company of his family and adored all his grandchildren. His family was everything to him. He was a man of few words but had a great sense of humour. He had many struggles and hard times in his life, but he was a fighter and never gave up. In keeping with Vito's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy., with Pastor Dan Krebs officiating. The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for all their care and support. We love you very much Babbo (dad), Nonno you will always be in our hearts.
