HAROLD PENGELLY It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Harold Jason Pengelly on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Remaining to cherish Harold's memory are his wife Pauline Joyce; daughter Penny (Rick); son Richard (Kathleen); and grandchildren, Ricky, Alivia, Bianca and Dalsin. He was predeceased by his son Barry Allan. Harold was born on January 19, 1927 in Vancouver, BC. He farmed for several years in Melfort, SK, but then attended Radio College in Montreal. Harold was employed with the Department of Communications for over 25 years. He was stationed in Churchill, MB where he was instrumental in the erection of the Ionosphere Station. He was also stationed in Melville, Regina, Saskatoon and then Winnipeg. After retirement Harold enjoyed ham radio, but most of all he loved his family and friends. Harold's memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Messiah Lutheran Church, 400 Rouge Road. The family wishes to acknowledge the care and compassion provided by the staff at Oakview Place.
