Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR RICHTER August 30, 1926 November 5, 2009 Peacefully, in the morning of November 5, 2009 at the Beausejour Hospital, Dad passed away at the age of 83 years. He is survived by his devoted and beloved wife Lydia (Fuerst) Richter of 59 years. He will be forever loved and remembered by his three children, Alan (Diane) Richter, Debbie (Duane) Strecker and Lori (Ron) Peluk; his grandchildren, Lana and Vanessa Richter, Hayley (Jeramie) and Julia Strecker, Cruz Lavallee, Evan, Ryan and Travis Peluk. He is also survived by his sisters, Eleanor Peltz, Elma Richter, Edna Owens and Irene Etsell; as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Dad was an extremely strong, hardworking man. From the cutting of pulp wood in his younger years, to construction and fine carpentry on his own and at Beaver Lumber. He was a perfectionist in everything he attempted. He built his own house in 1950 where Mom and Dad resided until Mom's illness. He enjoyed working in Lac du Bonnet at Home Hardware with his son Al. He was appreciated by all, as his advice and knowledge of carpentry and common sense were valued by many. He continued to work here until he was 81 years of age. Dad was a good man, who was strong willed and determined to live life his way and that he did. He was a good provider, there was always food on the table. He was a careful money manager and tried to instill those values onto his children and grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and watching sports. He played baseball, he bowled and loved to play cards when family came over. He liked to repair and invent things. The family would like to thank Dr. Nick VanRensburg and nurses from the Beausejour Hospital for their efforts. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 403 First Street N., Beausejour with viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Evan Peluk, Ryan Peluk, Travis Peluk, Ron Peluk, Duane Strecker and Jeramie Lavallee. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dad's memory to the Addictions Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society. God has you in his keeping We have you in our hearts Rest in Peace Dad.
