Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDA LOWEN Born in Manitoba on May 13, 1928, died peacefully on October 31, 2009 at Rosedale Hospice in Calgary. In passing she joins her husband Dave (1979), sons Gerald (1978) and Bruce (1984) and two infant babies (1956, 1950). She is survived by her sons, Randy, Ken, Erle and Terry, her daughter Gloria, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Hilda was known for her independence and courage and her ability to overcome adversity. She was a champion for the underdog and upon retirement devoted many hours to volunteer work. She loved gardening, sewing, quilting and most of all she loved her family. She will be greatly missed by many. Services will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery in Calgary at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14. A celebration of Hilda's life will follow the services.
