CHARLES KOSTELNICK January 2, 1922 - November 19, 2009 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Charles on November 19, 2009 at the Grace Hospice. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mabel; his parents, Leon and Nora; siblings Ed, Jean and Frank. Charles will be remembered by his daughters Valerie, and Fern. He will also be missed by his sister Anne Nitchie, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was born and raised in Winnipeg Beach. He met Mabel and together they came to Winnipeg where Charles attended Barbering school. He worked as a barber near city hall for over 31 years. He worked at Paulin Chambers for 12 years until his retirement in 1987. He was proud of his cars they were always immaculate; he enjoyed gardening, cooking, sports. He was kind and generous, always helping out his daughters and neighbors, there was nothing he could not fix. The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospice for the love and care shown to Dad. As well the friends who have shown their support to Valerie and Fern over the past months. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with a reception to follow.
