MICHAEL SHOLDRA Michael Sholdra, 76, of Winnipeg, MB passed away at Seven Oaks General Hospital on November 29, 2009 after a brief illness. Michael was born in Montreal to Ivan and Sophia (Yurkewych) Sholdra, and raised in Sydney, Cape Breton, NS. He is survived by his sister Anne (Bruce) Willis, New Glasgow, NS, nephew Michael Willis, and nieces Michelle (Willis) Stanley, and Sandra Somers and Denise Somers; three great-nephews; and close friend Mary (Landemeyer) Woo. He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister, Saraphyna (Sara) Somers in 2006. Michael was a retired employee of Canada Post in Vancouver and Winnipeg. He had a great sense of humour and had a wide circle of friends in Sydney and Winnipeg. Mike resided since June of this year at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, where he greatly enjoyed making new acquaintances, and appreciated the efforts of the staff to make him comfortable. Mike maintained close ties with his family, and he will be dearly missed. By Mike's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Final arrangements are entrusted to Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg.
