Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES MULHALL The family of Frances Mulhall is sad to announce her passing on December 8, 2009 in Banbridge, Northern Ireland with her son Oliver at her side. Frances was a strong, independent woman her whole life. She moved to the north of Ireland with her only son in a time when women were suppressed. Frances worked at a rectory and saved money to buy her own farm, which she ran successfully. She had the good insight to see that farming would no longer sustain her family, she sold the farm and bought a bed and breakfast in Belfast. Frances started that business with no experience, but she would not have it fail. She would tell many a story of the people that would pass throughout her door, some of them good, some of them bad. Frances retired and moved to Banbridge and would come and spend many a summer here in Winnipeg. Frances made many friends here - from bus drivers to the corner shop owner, she also had friends in Lundar and she loved to go to the dances in Oak Point. Frances loved going to the big shops of Winnipeg, she would get there when they opened in the morning and be home for dinner, all she would have to show for it would be a sponge. Wal-Mart was her favourite shop so she could drive their electric carts where there would be a great wake of damage left behind. Frances would also plot with her friend Peggy on how to outsmart the Casinos of Winnipeg, sometimes they would win, sometimes not so much. Left here to miss her is her son Oliver, granddaughter Pamela Frances and her friends. Fate made her my Grandma, But choice made her my friend
