VICTOR ROMANCHUK May 28, 1925 - December 8, 2009 After a courageous battle with cancer, Victor passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Joey, his grandsons Jamie (Shauna) and Mark (Amber), his great-grandchildren Amber-Rae, Arlee and Cain, along with other family members and friends. Victor was predeceased by his dear and beloved son Bryan. Victor served with the Royal Canadian Navy in the Second World War. Following the war, he took a course in barbering and practised his trade for the duration of his working life, making hundreds of friends along the way. He was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion and received recognition for his many years of service. Victor and Joey enjoyed over 30 years with their family at their cottage at Redditt, ON. During that time Victor built a road singlehandedly for many of his fellow cottagers there. To this day, the road bears his name - Victor Street . Victor was a gentle man who practised kindness and generosity of the heart. We will miss him very much. The wishes of the family are to have a private service. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hameed and to our friend Rev. Richard Condo.
