Courtney was born in Winnipeg on December 26, 1948. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Krys, sons Kristian and Mark, his grand-daughter Kaydence and his brother-in-law Stan Nowak. Courtney was employed with CP Rail for 30 years. He was active with the Norwood Community Centre soccer program for many years, both as a coach and equipment manager. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, his sense of humour, and his love of music and reading. We wish to thank all those who showed kindness and support throughout these difficult times. At Courtney's request, there will be no formal service. A private family celebration of life will take place. Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice in his memory. We met as very young people living in the Wolsey street area. Courtney was kind, fun and generous. He found love and caring in Krys and we all celebrated together when they married. It was a sweltering hot day before air conditioning had been introduced. But, so beautiful and we were so happy for them both. We would joke about them as a couple calling them "McMillan and Wife" - a wink at a popular TV program. My condolences to Krys and the boys.
