ROBERT JAMES (BOB) STEVENSON Cpl. United States Marine Corps Born in Winnipeg on October 10, 1944, Bob passed away peacefully at his home in Barrie, with family nearby, on December 25, 2009. Bob was survived by his friend and wife Cheryle (nee Robertson) of 35 years. Proud father of Levon (Nicole), Candice, and Melanie Danis (Richard). Grandfather of Luke, Noah and Lily. Loyal brother to Glenn (Bonnie) and Sandy Hallett (Randy). Loved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Jane (nee Jean Meiklejohn) and father Tom. In addition to being a 31 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bob was active with curling, football, hockey and baseball, at various points in his life. Bob had a successful career in sales before driving long-haul transport truck across North America for ten years. A fighter since his youth, Bob went 15 rounds with a number of health issues lately including head trauma, heart disease, a stroke, and finally cancer. To celebrate Chopper's life, a Legion Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Barrie, Ontario.
