Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLARD MACKISEY Willard David Max Mackisey of Regina and formerly of Canora, passed away suddenly on January 6, 2010 at the age of 61 years. Max was born and raised in Canora, SK where part of his heart always remained. He has resided in Winnipeg since 1973. In recent years he spent much of his free time visiting with family in Saskatchewan. Max was a very social individual whose favourite pastime was shooting the breeze and whose smiling face and hearty laugh will be long remembered. He was a skilled carpenter and often did carpentry for family and friends. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, pipelining and loved hanging-out with his grandson. He will be sincerely missed by all. Max is survived by his children, Melissa (Zach) and David; their mother Gail; his grandson Bishop; his siblings: Allan (Audrey), Garry (Bobbi), Gerald (Cathy), Debbie (Clyde), Dianne and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He is also survived by Gail's mother Dorothy Falk and family. He was predeceased by his father Tony Mackisey; his stepfather Peter Wingerak; his older brother Peter Mackisey and Gail's father Peter Falk. Max's mother Mary (Pylypchuk) Wingerak also passed away on January 10, 2010. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home, Canora with Rev. Fr. Joakim Rac officiating. Interment of cremated remains will follow in the Canora Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Canora District Fire Department, in care of the Town of Canora, P.O. Box # 717, Canora, SK S0A 0L0 as tokens of remembrance.
