Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIOLET SABOVITCH (nee CHIKOUSKY) September 26, 1939 - January 27, 2010 Tragically in a house fire, Mom went to her rest. She is survived by her brother Roy; son Danno and daughter-in-law dutchess; grand-children, Michelle, Jared, Chandni and Sharon. Mom worked for 35 years for the Federal Government until she quit to care for her husband Alex. The past decade was fraught with hardship for Mom brought on by her addiction to alcohol. Despite multiple earnest attempts by family and friends she was unable to defeat her demons. Mom's graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba, Attention: Finance Department, 1031 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3G 0R8.
