LANA SHAND Lana passed away March 4, 2010 with her devoted husband Douglas by her side after a brief battle with cancer. Lana's memory will be forever cherished by her husband Douglas and loving son Remy (Leah). Lana will be sadly missed by her mother Angie Spilchuck, her brother Allan Hunnie (Melody) and father Les Hunnie of Meritt, B.C. Predeceased by her grandpa Nono, aunt Rose (Romeo) and uncle Rick (Shand). Lana is also survived by her grandmother Josephina Torchia, her mother-in-law Edith Braine, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws. Her joys in life were writing lyrics and poems. Her passion was collecting rare pieces of vintage clothing. Lana was a devoted mother to her only son Remy and home schooled him until his music career achieved great success. Doug and Lana shared a passion for collecting which led them on legendary road trips across Canada and culminating in opening their store Vintage Glory in March 2009. Special thanks to staff at Women's Pavilion, 5th Floor Cancer Care and Palliative Care. A Private Service to celebrate Lana's life was held. 586-8044
