CHIYO NAKAZATO With great sadness, we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Chiyo Nakazato on March 8, 2010, aged 83 years, at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. At the same time, there is great joy that she has ascended into the presence of the Lord. She was predeceased by her parents, Kamechiyo and Shige Kinjo, sister Hideko and brother Yoshio, all of Okinawa, Japan. Left to mourn and cherish her memory are her husband Takao, son Tony (Ayumi) and many nephews, nieces and cousins, as well as many dear friends. Chiyo is now safe in the loving embrace of her dear Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She expressed and experienced His love here on earth through the Winnipeg Japanese Alliance Church for over 40 years, and with her family, relatives and friends. Viewing will take place on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m., with interment in the cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Grace Hospital, the staff and residents of the Boulton Retirement Community, Dr. K. Hameed, Cathy of the Home Care office and their care-givers. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Chiyo may be made to a charity of their choice. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
