Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY SPICER (nee BROWN) 1918 - 2010 On March 9, 2010, Dorothy passed away in Medicine Hat, AB. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Horace, as well as her sister Edith Pike. Dorothy is survived by daughter Wendy and her husband Ken; grandchildren, Ryan, Kristie and Julie, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was born in Saskatoon, SK, October 24, 1918. The family later moved to Stonewall and then to Winnipeg, where she met and married Horace. They relocated to Montreal where they settled until Horace's retirement. Then they moved back to Winnipeg, spending the last 10 years with her daughter in Medicine Hat. Dorothy loved going to Good Samaritan's Seniors Day Program where she made many friends. When she was younger she loved to bowl and Dorothy could knit up a storm. She was known for her Christmas mittens. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 18 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with a reception to follow. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
