Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGURBACHAN KAUR RUKHRA It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gurbachan Kaur Rukhra on Monday, March 22, 2010 at the age of 91 years, at Victoria General Hospital. She was born in Punjab, India and came to Canada in 1977. Gurbachan was predeceased by her husband Udham Singh Rukhra. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Hardayal (Kashmir), Daljit (Gurjeet), Gurmukh (Narinder) of Winnipeg; her daughters Mohinder (Bhagwant), Gurmesh (Gurdayal) of Winnipeg, Gurmeet (Bhajan) of Vancouver; and Jasbir (Manmohan) of India; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Also surviving, her two brothers Swaran Singh Jassal, Hari Singh Jassal, and sister Lakshmi Kaur. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 27 at 3:00 p.m. at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In loving memory of Gurbachan Kaur Rukhra, the Akhand Path will begin at Sikh Society of Manitoba, 1244 Mollard Road, Winnipeg, MB on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. and the Bhog will take place on Saturday, March 27, 2010, 5:30 p.m. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Victoria General Hospital for their compassionate care. We truly appreciate your kindness.
