PAUL OSADCHUK With great sadness, the family of Paul Osadchuk, announces his peaceful passing on March 24, 2010 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years Martha, son Larry (Pat), four grandchildren, Leslie, Monica, Kirsten and Scott; three brothers and two sisters. He was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Mary and sister Stella. Paul was born on September 8, 1927 in Trentham, MB. He grew up on the family farm, worked and lived in the Sarto area for a number of years before moving to Winnipeg. In his younger years he worked at various jobs driving a truck for local businesses. He retired in 1990 from the Manitoba Liquor Commission in Winnipeg, at which point he and Mom moved back to Sarto. Family and friends were important to him and he enjoyed getting together with them and always had a good story and a few jokes to share with them. He was always willing to help a friend and neighbour whenever he could. He loved his family very much and his grandchildren were a great source of pride to him. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Paul spent the last several weeks at the Bethesda Hospital and the immediate family would like to thank the Dr. Ilchyna, the nurses and staff at the hospital for their care and compassion during their trying time. Prayers will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, MB on Friday, March 26 at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Sarto, MB with interment at the parish cemetery.
