Jack was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 2, 1919. Jack was raised in Winnipeg with his brother Frank, and sisters Agnes, Margaret and Edith (Didi). His father Wilmont passed in 1921 and his mother Edith passed in 1977. He served with the Reserves 1937-1939 and joined the RCAF in 1940 to participate in the war effort. Jack met his soul mate Loretta in Montreal and wed on October 26, 1944. They lived in Winnipeg, until 1996, when they moved to Comox, BC to be close to their son and grandchildren. They enjoyed many years of adventures and friendship until his beloved Queen passed on March 29, 2002. Jack continued on with his family and friends around the country, in the Comox Valley and the special times and friends at Berwick (Comox) during the past few years. Jack was a devoted husband, father, granddad and special friend. He was known for his patriotism, his military support (with two sons and three grandsons doing military service), his time with the CPR (Weston Shops), his involvement with youth through scouting and cadets, his willingness to help everyone and anyone and most of all his woodworking abilities including his toy cars, planes, whistles and stools.
