MICHAEL (MIKE) CIURKA September 2, 1922 - March 22, 2010 Peacefully Mike Ciurka, age 87, passed away at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife Marion, daughter Debbie, son Michael (Leigh), four grandchildren, Kendall, Taryn, Kyle, Kristen and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Julia and brothers John and Bill. Mike worked for the C.N.R. Transcona as a carman for many years and with Manitoba Bridge as an estimator. He was an avid gardener and had a great sense of humour. No one could have asked for a more loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Armstrong, Dr. Regatto and the staff at Seven Oaks Dialysis Unit for all their care during his treatments. We hold you close within our hearts And there you will remain To walk with us throughout our lives Until we meet again. Cremation has already taken place. Flowers gratefully declined, but those who wish, donations in Mike's memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada Manitoba Branch, Unit 1 - 452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1G4.
