FRANCIS (FRANK) ARTHUR HORNE November 25, 1935 - March 28, 2010 Frank's family announces his peaceful passing on Palm Sunday in Calgary, AB at the age of 74. Frank was born in Winnipeg, MB to Frank and Marie Horne. As a youth, he spent many happy summers at Matlock Beach. He joined the Canadian Air Force and after completing his service, met his wife Georgette. Frank loved woodworking, the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. The family enjoyed many vacations where Frank's heaven on earth was the Meson de Calderon in Puerto Vallarta. We shopped - he sat, enjoying the musicians and his dark rum and coke. Frank worked for the Winnipeg Free Press prior to moving to Calgary in 1980 where he worked for Penn Corp until his illness. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Georgette; three children, Susan (Andy) Bilinsky, Douglas Horne and his friend Darlene and Stacey (Kevin) Ross; grandchildren, Kirsti, Christopher, Tyler, Chelsea and Courtney; his shadow Taffy; and the little black devil, Mocha. Frank is also survived by his brother Ted (Joyce) and several relatives. Frank was predeceased by his parents and sister, June. The family thanks the South Calgary Dialysis Centre, Foothills Hospital, the nursing and support staff on unit 37. They also wish to especially thank Dr. Samuel Schorr for his compassionate care and understanding. In accordance with Frank's wishes, cremation has taken place.
