LOIS JOSEPHINE HICKS 1924 - 2010 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Lois Hicks, at the age of 85, on March 30, 2010 at Grace Hospital. Lois will now be united with her beloved husband Jim, who passed away in October, 1974. She was predeceased by her mother Gertrude, father Percy, brother Vernon, sister Phyllis and brother-in-law Bob. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Val (Brent), granddaughter Jaime (Kevin), great-grandchildren Katla and Leah, granddaughter Kerri (Chris) and great-grandchildren Emily, Bailey and Paxton, her cousin Marg, nephew Garth (Doreen), niece Rae (Delmar) and their families, nephew Bill (Marilyn), brother-in-law Bill (Nell), Kris (Gary), Erin (Peter), Joel (Tamara) and Megan, extended family members and friends. Her family was the greatest joy of her life. She especially loved her trips to Spruce Sands with family for gatherings, where many cherished memories were created. The family wishes to thank the paramedics, fire department and Grace Hospital personnel for all their care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favourite charities: the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3 and the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
