GRANT EARL KENNEDY May 31, 1963 - March 26, 2010 With profound sadness we announce the passing of Grant on March 26, 2010. He is sadly missed by his wife Debbie and their two children, Sean (13) and Holly (10): by his sisters Lynda (Louis), Sandi (Bruce) and Rhonda (Don): nieces and nephews Jeremy, Jaclyn, Michael, Cameron, and Braden. Also survived by in-laws Joe and Yvonne Skomorowsky, Sandy (Bill), Tommy, Joey; nieces and nephew, Christine, Courtney and Jesse. Mourned by aunts, cousins and many dear friends too numerous to mention. A special thank you to Kelly Lay for his unconditional support. Grant was predeceased by his parents Agnes (nee Kriese) and Earl. As a lifelong Winnipegger, Grant graduated from Grant Park High and received his diploma in photography through RRCC. As a photographer, he followed in his Dad's footsteps and soon became owner of Campbell Chipman Inc. Grant spent his entire career passionately devoted to the art of photography. When he went on a safari in Kenya it resulted in a gallery showing of his incredible photographs. The love of his life was his wife Debbie. They were overjoyed to welcome two precious children, Sean and Holly, into their lives. Grant was an exceptional father. He loved, nurtured, encouraged and protected his children with every ounce of his being. He loved camping with his family and fishing at every opportunity with his father-in-law Joe. Grant belonged to many associations; the Winnipeg Business Club, Gateway Gun Club, and the Commerce Club. Grant was very compassionate and treated all people with dignity and respect. We will miss his laughter, good nature, unpretentious charm, his sparkling eyes and beautiful smile. Most of all, we will miss his very presence in our lives. Family would like to thank the Health Sciences Centre staff of: Neurosurgery, SICU, and Dr. J. Silvaggio and his associates. Grant's final gift was the GIFT OF LIFE. In his memory Pass it Forward and please sign your organ donor card. Donations towards his children's education are gratefully accepted. Please direct donations payable to Quadrus (in trust for Sean and Holly Kennedy). Forward to the attention of Paul Edmond, Edmond Financial Group, 420 Academy Road, Winnipeg, MB R3N 0B9. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his Life will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. What you leave behind is not engraved in stone monuments, But what is woven into the lives of others.
