Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRITA IRENE HEAPS (nee ROBERTSON) Peacefully, after a courageous journey, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the age of 82. Rita will be forever loved and missed by her husband of 60 years, Jim. Beloved mother of son Blair Heaps and his wife Candy of Pinawa MB, and daughter Brenda Chisamore and her husband Darcy of Burlington ON. Much loved grandmother of Jessica and Jason Chisamore of Burlington, and Ainsley (Clint) Viehweg, and Troy Heaps of Winnipeg. Great-grandmother to Ariana and Ava. Survived by her sister Audrey Steven of Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Rita is predeceased by her parents Ernest and Effie Robertson (Grandview, MB) and sister Donna Draper. Friends and family are invited to honour Rita's memory at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville (at Dundas St.) 905-257-8822, on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m followed by a Service of Celebration at 3:00 pm. in the Glen Oaks Chapel. Thank you to the dedicated, caring and compassionate staff at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Donations, in memory of Rita, may be made to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of Canada and will be gratefully appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers. Blair and Brenda: Sorry to hear (and the late tribute) about the passing of your mom Rita. Rita and Jim were good friends with my parents Joyce and Bud Colgan when your parents lived in The Pas.
