OZGUN KIAMIL PASHA November 25, 1951 - April 2, 2010 After a long struggle with cancer, at the age of 58, Ozgun Kiamil Pasha passed away peacefully on April 2, 2010 with his family by his side. He was welcomed into heaven by his father Kiamil Pasha, mother Afet Pasha, sister Gulay, and nephew Shahin. He was survived by his wife Diane and three beautiful daughters, Gulay, Nuray and Jasmin. He also leaves behind three brothers and two sisters, Hasan (Cathy), Mustafa (Lynn), Zubeyda of Winnipeg and Houssein (Fatma) and Huyla (Alkon) from Cyprus. In addition, numerous nieces and nephews from Winnipeg and Cyprus, along with Ted and Frieda Vardalos and the rest of Diane's extended family. Pasha immigrated to Canada in 1970 and soon there after started a successful business creating lifelong friendships. He had a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Pasha liked to go downtown to the shop' and play backgammon with his brothers, which he always said he came out the winner! He will be missed by many and never forgotten. You will be in our hearts forever! Prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at The Manitoba Islamic Association Grand Mosque, 2445 Waverley St. Immediately following, the service will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial at 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Out of respect for the Islamic Religion it is requested for ladies to dress in proper attire, including head scarves. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged towards CancerCare Manitoba.
