BIENVENIDO CASTRO GAVINA March 23, 1957 - March 31, 2010 Peacefully, Ben passed away on March 31, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 53 years. Ben was predeceased by his brother Ricardo and his mother Esperanza. He leaves to mourn his passing, his family in Winnipeg, beloved wife Mary; a daughter Jennilee (Erik) Youngson; a son Kenneth; a sister Eslina (Mario), niece Clarissa and nephews, Mark and Jo; sister Angelita (Gil), nephews, Anthony and James; a sister Josephine (Armando), nieces, Gracelle and Jocelle and nephews, Exequelle and Noelle; a brother Fernando (Lourdes), nephews, Michael and Nathan. Family in the Philippines, a sister Corazon (Felomino), nieces, Donna and Veronica, nephew Junjun; a sister Elpidia (Pepito), nephew Virgilio and nieces, Merilyn, Dorothy and Jocelyn; a sister-in-law Agripina, nieces, Regina and Cynthia, nephews, Ambrose and Argie. Lamay/Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 8 and Friday, April 9 commencing at 6:00 p.m. and concluding at the request of the family in the Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. (corner of Inkster and Keewatin). Vigil Prayers will be held on Friday, April 9 at 9:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel with Rev. Father Rainerio Sarce officiating. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Anthony Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Father Henryk Laciak Celebrant. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Health Sciences Centre for the care given to Ben, also thank you to friends and family who have shown us their love and support at this time.
