FREDERICK ROBERT CAMERON Peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Frederick Cameron, beloved husband of Tina, died at the age of 89 years. He is also survived by his daughters, Helen (Morris) and Joan; sons, Rick and Gordon. Fred was born on May 13, 1920 in Ponteix, Saskatchewan. Thirty years of Fred's life were spent serving in the Canadian army at various postings. He was also employed as a maintenance engineer. In his retirement years he became involved in politics. He achieved sobriety with Alcoholics Anonymous and remained faithful to their program for 35 years. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the service. Interment in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to a charity of their choice.
