KATHERINE KRAHN April 21, 1924 - April 7, 2010 On April 7, 2010 at Bethania Personal Care Home, Katherine Krahn passed away with her daughter Diane and son-in-law Chris at her side. Survived by her only child Diane and husband Chris, granddaughter Kirsten (husband Steven), and great-grandson Dexter, grandson Brendan (wife Nicole), now travelling in Australia; one sister-in-law Helen Krahn, two sisters in Germany; numerous nieces and nephews in Paraguay, Canada, Germany and Russia. Katherine was predeceased by her husband Peter of 34 years, her parents and eight siblings. Many thanks to all the caregivers over the past few years, specifically the Emergency Department, N1N and S, 3 East, all at Concordia Hospital, who looked after Mom repeatedly, and awarded her as much dignity as her failing condition would allow. Also, the staff at Irene Baron, and Bethania Care Home deserve thanks for the support to Mom and family, giving us the comfort of knowing that she was safe and well looked after. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch Street with interment following in Elmwood Cemetery.
