Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE LANDRIE (nee STEEL) March 30, 1940 - April 10, 2010 It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, grandma and sister. After a brief illness, Mom passed away peacefully with family at her side. Mom is survived by her sons John (Sandra) and Richard and grandchildren Sara (Trevor), Brianna and Colin. She is also survived by her brother Jim (Robin) Steel and sister Bev (Alex) Geddes, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce in January 2009. Mom began her career in Nursing and then after spending time to raise a family she returned to work with Revenue Canada at the Winnipeg Taxation Centre until her retirement in 2000. Mom enjoyed her retirement days keeping in touch and going for lunch with her many friends. Mom was a very special and talented person. She loved nothing more than spending time in her garden and with her grandchildren, teaching them to sew and bake. Her garden was always in full bloom, from spring to fall. She was a fabulous cook and we could always count on many homemade treats any time we went for a visit. Mom's sewing machine was always busy sewing Halloween costumes for her grandchildren, roman shades and table runners for the family, along with many other treasures. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Suite 1500, 2235 Sheppard Ave., East, Toronto, ON M2J 5B5 if desired. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Caners, all the staff in Ward 3 East at the Concordia Hospital and the Emergency staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and kindness. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Klassen Funeral Home KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 HENDERSON, WINNIPEG, MB R2G 1P4 338-0331 Condolences may be sent to www.klassenfuneralhome.com
