PETER (MASAYOSHI) KURUSHIMA June 25, 1933 April 11, 2010 It is with deepest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Peter, loving husband, brother, and uncle on April 11 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Peter leaves behind to lovingly miss him, his wife, Liz; his sisters Ritz (Tosh), Kyoko, Reiko, and brother Tsugio (Susan). Also mourning his loss are many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his father, Kanzo (1972) and mother, Misuyo (1999). After a 41-year career with the City of Winnipeg, Peter enjoyed his retirement with golfing, curling, horseshoes, card games, spending time at the lake with family and friends and annual trips to Las Vegas. The family would like to thank Dr. Yaffi and the staff at St. Boniface Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion. The memorial service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson in the Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or a charity of choice.
