Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE VELMA MUTCHER Peacefully, due to advanced age, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Elsie Velma Mutcher, on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at West Park Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 81 years. Remaining to forever cherish Elsie's memory are her husband, Henry of 54 years of marriage; son, Russ (Simona); grandchildren Andrew and Emma; sisters, Mabel, of Vancouver, Ruth, Jeanette, Lillian all of Winnipeg and Diane of Winnipeg Beach; brother, Bill of Vancouver; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her father August Holtz and mother Alma Holtz; siblings Bobby and Betty. Elsie was born in 1928 in the 1-6 district of Morden, Manitoba. She was one of a family of five sisters and one brother. She moved to Winnipeg as a young girl and was married in 1956. Elsie lived most of her adult life in Winnipeg. She attended Calvary Temple and was an active member in the church as long as health would allow. Elsie enjoyed spending time with her family and was always ready to lend a helping hand or listening ear. She enjoyed sewing, was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flowers. Elsie was a wonderful wife, mother, and loving sister. She spent countless days helping her father and mother in their senior years. A private family Graveside Service will take place in Chapel Lawn Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to West Park Manor for exemplary care. Your kind and professional care for Elsie will always be remembered and appreciated.
