ANGELIQUE MARIE LOUISE BALE (CONAN) November 18, 1923 April 14, 2010 Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Angelique passed away at the Percy E. Moore Hospital. Angelique leaves to mourn her passing her loving and devoted husband of nearly 60 years, Ernest; her children, Louise (Dave), Yvonne (Jack), Annette (Jerry), Lucille, Rose (Jim), Doris (Ray), Albert, Irene (Mel) and Lorraine (Dale); 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Louis Conan (Marie), her sister, Adrienne Caners and numerous nieces and nephews. Angelique was predeceased by her parents, mother Angelique, April 19, 1966, her father Louis Conan Sr. on June 15, 1982; stepmother Pauline on December 27, 1992 and sister Georgette on October 18, 1999. Mom was born and raised in Fisher Branch and married Dad on August 21, 1950. They resided on a farm south of Fisher Branch where they devoted their lives to raising their nine children. Mom loved the outdoors and in her later years would spend hours in the summer with Dad sitting on the deck watching the birds and caring for their flowers or going for rides in the countryside. She also enjoyed trying new recipes with her daughters, knitting, crocheting, reading, bingo, playing cards and most of all spending time with her family and friends. During all her health issues Mom never lost her sense of humour. She would often joke about the golden years being for the birds. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Our heartfelt thanks go to all the staff of the Percy E. Moore Hospital, Fisher Branch Home Care and the Fisher Branch PCH for their loving attention and care of Mom during her stay. The family also wishes to extend thanks to Rev. Paul Bisson, Sister Agnes, Donna Lindal, Bob Schreyer and the many friends and relatives who visited, offered prayers, and supported us during the difficult times. She led a faith-rooted life and accepted God's will for her own life, even to the end. As per Mom's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24th at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment of remains in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Paul Bisson officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Angelique's memory to the Fisher Branch Personal Care Home would be greatly appreciated. In our hearts forever you will be remembered. Arrangements in care of Fisher Funeral Home 1-204-372-6271 Fisher Branch.
