EDWARD SCHOFFNER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and Opa on April 14, 2010. Ed will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife Kathy, of 52 years; his three children, Irene (Keith), Melinda (Don), Robert (Marcia), and his five grandchildren, Ashley, Brendan, Koen, Annika and Mattias. He also leaves his mother Katherine Bauldic; his brother Alois (Marie); his sister Marie Berg (Andy) from Windsor, ON and their families along with other numerous family and friends. Ed was born on March 29, 1933 and married his wife Kathy on August 24, 1957. He worked at Duchon Neon as a sign maker for many years. His interests included gardening, fishing, travelling with his family, singing in the choir, dancing, and fixing things. His garage had everything you could ever need! He enjoyed weekends at the lake, first at Camp Neustadt, and then at the family cottage at Glen Bay. He so loved his grandchildren and they will miss him very much! Ed was a member of the St. Joseph's Parish, he belonged to the Kolping Society and was President of the Parochial Society. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and support staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and kindness to Ed and his family. He will be deeply missed and his memory will be cherished by his family and friends. A celebration of Ed's life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2010 at St. Joseph's Parish, 355 Andrew's St. (at Mountain Avenue).
