LUCILLE MESLEY It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lucille Mesley on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Riverview Health Centre. Lucille is predeceased by her two brothers Roger and George and her sister Florence Bazin, her brother-in-law Maurice Touchette and sister-in-law Rose Marie Bourgouin. She is lovingly remembered by her son Michel (Lai Guen) Levesque, grandchildren: Jenette (Rolly), Colin and Nathan; her daughter Monique (Jeff) Seymour, grandchildren: Celeste, Kevin, Carly and Lauren and her son Robert (Lynda) Stewart, grandchildren: Paula, Krista, Tonya (Jacob) and Paula and three great-grandchildren. Mom will be remembered as a gentle and deeply caring woman, mother and friend to many. Mom loved sharing time with family and friends. She enjoyed tea time on her patio with her condo friends, baking, music, dancing and family gatherings of any type. Mom was a nature lover. Birds were her favourite but she spoiled Zak, Gizmo and Kricket whenever she could. She loved to secretly feed the neighbourhood rabbits, squirrels, and birds. Anyone who knew Mom teased her about her people watching. She shared stories about people she saw or met while shopping, on the bus, and her many visits to CancerCare over the years. Mom's journey had many difficult twists and turns but her strong faith and her determination to defeat her illness was remarkable. Her love for her children and immediate family is her legacy. We would like to thank family and friends for their help over the years and also thank Dr. Crawford, the palliative nurses and staff at Riverview Hospital for their compassion and care of Mom. In keeping with Lucille's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held on Friday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Timothy Parish, 135 John Forsyth Rd. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9 or a charity of one's choice.
