Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM BUTCHKO January 3, 1934 - April 19, 2010 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bill at Concordia Hospital. Bill was predeceased by the love of his life Ann who left us April 21, 2005. Dad was born and raised in Lampman, SK. As a young lad he worked on the family farm, then for the pipeline all across Canada. In 1973 Dad began his career with Manitoba Hydro, retiring at 65. The next ten years were spent with his passion in the flea market with Kim. Dad will be sadly missed by his daughter Kim (Jeff), grandson Raymond, sons, Kelly, Kerry and Kenny, grandsons Cody and Justin. Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place in Lampman at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Love You Dad

As a friend of Kelly and Kerry's growing up I would occasionally drop by the Butchko house. Bill was always busy maintaining items for his garage sales/flea market. When I think of Bill I think of his amazing collection of antique oil lanterns that he proudly displayed on a wall shelf in the kitchen. After Mrs. Butchko's passing I would on occasion drive by the house and would see Bill either in the yard or garage. I would make a point of stopping by for a chat.
